A national player in agri & feed industry aimed to introduce a certified environmental management system to maintain its competitive viability.
The target state of the environmental management system was defined together with the project lead as well as representatives of all organizational functions. The aim was to understand how certification requirements could be met, while taking company constraints and efficiency considerations into account. Based on this a roadmap was built ensuring the certification process was grounded in the company’s day-to-day reality.
During the implementation phase, practical approaches to theoretical certification requirements were designed in collaboration with cross-functional employee groups. The aim was to ensure that frameworks, tracking systems and processes implemented were both compliant and easy to use. Trainings, awareness and management practices were further adapted to employees’ working conditions ensuring acceptance and cooperation across the organization.
